Deep Tissue Massage at Home

Deep Tissue massage uses slow, firm pressure to reach the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. Unlike Swedish massage which works on the surface, Deep Tissue targets specific problem areas: chronic knots, tight spots and areas of long-held tension.

Before the session starts your therapist will ask you specifically about the areas giving you trouble: how long the pain has been there, what makes it worse, and whether you have had any recent injuries. This is not a standard check-in. Deep Tissue requires your therapist to understand the problem before they start working on it.

The session focuses on your specific problem areas rather than the full body. Your therapist uses their thumbs, knuckles and forearms to apply sustained pressure into tight muscle groups. It can feel intense in places. That is normal. You should never feel sharp pain. Tell your therapist immediately if anything feels wrong.

Most customers book Deep Tissue for chronic back pain, a stiff neck from desk work, or tight shoulders that Swedish massage has not fully resolved. Results are usually noticeable within 24 hours as the muscles settle.

Who is Deep Tissue massage best for

Deep Tissue massage is best for desk workers with chronic back or neck pain, people who carry long-held tension in specific muscle groups, office workers with poor posture, athletes recovering from training, and anyone whose tension has not responded to regular relaxation massage.

What happens during a Deep Tissue session

Your therapist begins with lighter pressure to warm up the muscle tissue, then gradually works deeper into the problem areas. Unlike Swedish massage, the strokes are slower and more focused, staying on one area longer until the tension releases.

Communication matters in Deep Tissue. Tell your therapist if the pressure feels too intense. The goal is a firm stretch sensation, not pain. Soreness for 24 to 48 hours after the session is normal as the muscles recover.

Common questions about Deep Tissue massage

Is Deep Tissue massage painful?

It can feel intense on tight areas but should never be sharp or unbearable. Tell your therapist immediately if anything feels wrong. Mild soreness for 24 to 48 hours after the session is normal as the muscles recover.

How is Deep Tissue different from Swedish massage?

Swedish works on the surface muscle layers for relaxation. Deep Tissue uses slower, firmer pressure to reach deeper muscle groups and connective tissue. Deep Tissue is better for chronic pain and specific problem areas.

How many sessions do I need to see results?

Most customers notice a difference after one session. For chronic pain or long-held tension, 3 to 4 sessions spaced a week apart usually gives lasting results.

Can I book Deep Tissue same day?

Yes. Same-day bookings are available across all 18 cities from 8AM to 11PM. We recommend booking at least 2 hours in advance for evening slots.

Should I drink water after a Deep Tissue session?

Yes. Drink plenty of water after the session. Deep Tissue releases toxins stored in the muscle tissue, so water helps flush them out and reduces post-session soreness.

Is Deep Tissue safe for everyone?

Deep Tissue is not recommended if you have blood clots, are on blood thinners, have a recent fracture or open wound, or are pregnant. If you have any medical condition, check with your doctor before booking.
